Sunrise on Lake Superior-Grand Marais

These are some pictures of Lake Superior taken from the deck of our room.

Even though it got a bit cold at night, we slept with the bay windows overlooking the lake open (there was fire burning in the fireplace at night to keep us comfortable), the rising moon reflecting off the waters of Lake Superior and the sound of waves breaking across the shoreline lulled us to sleep every night.

In the morning we woke up to spectacular views of the sunrise over Lake Superior; the largest and cleanest freshwater lake. The first breath taking sunrise hooked me into getting up early in mornings.

Lovely little space you have here. I've heard a lot about Lake Superior. And I'm so bad at myself that I haven't traveled anywhere this summer. You make envy you!!!!! lol. Maybe someday, someday soon. :)

Indrani thank you for visiting. You take some very good pictures too.

Javits: I found the Lake Superior region very invigorating, I am sure you will too.

If it feels any better; in 110 heat it all seems like a far away dream.

Javits: I did figure that one out :)

Thanks Suku. How are you adjusting to your new place? Do you miss India?

Thanks Indicaspecies. I am glad you like the pictures. It was fun taking these pictures. I felt like a little girl in candy store……..

Javits: Soon…. :)

Well it's nice to be home with the family and also back to my site that I have left 6 years back.

Yes I miss India, the crowd, the honking, the dust and the spicy food...

Thanks Freddy. I am glad you enjoyed the pictures! It is a beautiful place… I immensely enjoyed taking these pictures too. The lake shares borders with two countries and few states!

Lakshmi it indeed is. I get such a sense of calm when ever I am able to connect with nature.
