Foothills - Pushkar

Truly rang rangeela Rajasthan….

I wish I was there again, sitting on the lake shore, listening to folk music, indulging in my favorite pastime-people watching, sipping endless cups of tea with maybe …some somosas….yumm!

Well, I am in another desert as far away as possibly can be!

Hi Sujata,Thanks for visiting....This Pushkar stuff is good or else its kind of stuck with this title - Pushkar fair! This breaks the stereotype:)

Indrani..Pushkar had a charm of its own. Looking back I cn honestly say that it was one of the more spiritually (not religious) calming places I have visited in a very long time.

Rammy that’s such a nice thing to say. I am glad you have a bunch of laces to visit now on your list!

You have plenty of time to travel far and wide…..from what I see on your blog you are doing quite well in the travel section!

Thanks Julia...to tell you the truth I had mixed feelings. I was happy for the lack of crowd but sad to have missed something people travel far and wide to see!

How I remember this desolate road to Pushkar.. We have been there twice, once in the time of the famous pushkar fair, and then the road was too full. Then, once went in off-season, and the road was all silent, hot and surrounded by hills and acacia trees. I bought a lot of silver jewellery from here, the place is a paradise for good jewellery
